2014/09/11 – New knife for hiking

In March 2014 I made this knife, together with the neck knife which is not shown during build. For half a year I tested it on my hiking trips. Splitting, chopping and processing wood, processing food, fish, etc, was no issue.

Now I am quite confident that the knife is perfectly fine, and therefore now half a year later I am uploading this video of how I made it.

It’s made from a 5mm thick very old sawblade, wooden handles are bought through ebay, black liners are from a noteblock, and brass pins from the local homestead shop.
