Three friends from Holland came for a week to visit me, and one the plans we made was a long hike. This was their first hike ever.\u00a0Here we are packing all our stuff for the hike.

By bus we went to our destination.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And after a a refreshment in a local village, it was time to start hiking.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is not a snake, but some family of the lizard.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We had lunch at an old ruin of a farm stead, partially carved out of rock.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Time to continue.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Apparently this was some strong hold long time ago, carved out of the rock.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nThen we arrived at another strong hold, where we would sleep over.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Next day we continued direction a bigger ruin.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Small break.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then we continued, and stopped for lunch.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Time to continue to our next sleeping place.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Which was another very old strong hold carved out of rock.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Next day, time to continue.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We arrived at this renovated castle with a museum inside. While the ladies took a tour, I stayed outside, enjoying a nice cold beer, while waiting with the backpacks.

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sanne was able to find some fresh meat source \ud83d\ude42
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Time to continue.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fresh water from the mountain.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Those are the twin ruins we where heading for.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Closer and closer…
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But they where closed… That was quite\u00a0disappointing..
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So time to go back home. We had to wait a while at the\u00a0bus stop\u00a0 so the ladies to the change to catch some sun.
